Halloween Horror Nights California haunted house reveal — Dead Exposure: Death Valley
Universal Studios Hollywood has announced the second Halloween Horror Nights 2024 haunted house, Dead Exposure: Death Valley.

Dead Exposure: Death Valley
Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) will return to Universal Studios Hollywood in California select nights Sept. 5 – Nov. 3, 2024. Today, Universal revealed Dead Exposure: Death Valley as the second of eight haunted houses that guests can experience at this year’s event.

Universal teased the backstory of Dead Exposure: Death Valley on social media by saying, “A secret lab’s attempts to create super soldiers takes a turn for the worse, creating radioactive zombies who escape just as you arrive!”

Dead Exposure’s Shared Universe
The Dead Exposure narrative is original to Halloween Horror Nights and not based on an existing film or television franchise. Universal debuted the storyline in a haunted house titled simply Dead Exposure in 2008 at Universal Studios Florida. This was followed by Dead Exposure: Patient Zero in 2018, also on the east coast. This year’s Dead Exposure: Death Valley marks the story’s first haunted house in California.
