Happy Stitch Day 2023! Celebrate 6/26 with new Stitch merch
Stitch is Experiment 626, which makes June 26 (6/26) Stitch Day 2023! Disney told us this tradition is “now celebrated annually,” and the company dropped new merchandise to celebrate, with more on the way.
A new Loungefly mini-backpack ($80) features a design called “Stitch Sandcastle Beach Surprise.” A flap opens to reveal Scrump, Lilo’s handmade doll. The mini-backpack officially drops June 26, 2023, as do a number of other new Stitch products yet to be announced.

New Merchandise for Stitch Day 2023
A shirt with Stitch surfing in front of a paint splatter design comes in variations for kids ($22.99) and adults ($32.99).
A vibrant design featuring Stitch and floral patterns comes on a hoodie for kids ($39.99), a bucket hat for adults ($29.99), shorts for men ($49.99), a hip pack ($24.99), and a stainless steel water bottle ($24.99).
A new MagicBand+ ($49.99) and a baseball hat for kids ($24.99) combine both of the above designs.
Two ankle bracelets ($55 for the set) spotlight some of the iconography of “Lilo & Stitch” like seashells, a floral leaf, a flower petal, Scrump, and Stitch himself.
A plush headband for adults ($34.99) sports Stitch’s ears. Tucked on top is a flower petal similar to those that make up the lei Stitch wears in Disney parks.

Stitch in Disney Theme Parks
Stitch is one of Disney’s most popular characters, and shows up in the parks often. Earlier this year, Disneyland Cast Members requested Stitch more than any other character for their Disney100 nametags.
Magic Kingdom was formerly home to Stitch’s Great Escape, one of the most notorious attractions Imagineering ever built. Back in 2009, Magic Kingdom opened Stitch’s Supersonic Celebration, among the shortest-lived stage shows in the park’s history. Of course, there was also the iconic day in 2004 when Stitch TP’d Cinderella Castle. Today, Walt Disney World guests can enjoy breakfast with Stitch, Lilo, Mickey Mouse, and Pluto at ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
At Walt Disney Studios Park, Tokyo Disneyland, and Shanghai Disneyland, the alien talks directly to guests in a virtual experience similar to Turtle Talk with Crush. In Tokyo, he’s the star of the Enchanted Tiki Room.
