One of the joys for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter fans visiting the Universal theme parks continues to be Butterbeer. Especially during the holiday season, hot Butterbeer just tastes different at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood. Now, guests visiting the Harry Potter Shops in New York and Chicago can enjoy hot Butterbeer too.
The holiday season has arrived at the Harry Potter Shops in New York and Chicago, and this year’s celebrations put the spotlight on the brand-new Harry Potter holiday menu. Along with immersive décor, interactive experiences, and magical merchandise, both locations are rolling out a seasonal lineup led by the first-ever in-store hot Butterbeer.
To mark its debut, guests can visit an exclusive toppings bar, through Nov. 19, 2025, offering Butterbeer caramel sauce, Butterbeer Cookie Crumble, cinnamon dusting, and even Butterbeer Chocolate Frogs.
Festive treats join the Harry Potter holiday menu
The Harry Potter holiday menu extends beyond beverages with a lineup of themed seasonal treats. The Harry Potter Store locations will offer:
- English Mince Pies
- Harry & Ron Sweater Cookies
- Peppermint Chocolate Frog Mousse (New York)
- Pumpkin Pastries (New York)
- Pumpkin Tarts (Chicago)
- Holiday Macarons (Chicago)
These limited-time offerings amplify the seasonal experience while giving fans new ways to taste the magic of the Wizarding World.
Holiday magic beyond the menu
The holiday makeover doesn’t stop at the food. This year’s theme for the holiday season at Harry Potter Shops is “Snow Globe.” Guests can step inside a walk-in snow globe for photos, take part in a Tree Trail scavenger hunt to earn a “Holidays at Hogwarts” collectible pin, and browse exclusive holiday merchandise such as Hedwig hoodies, Mrs. Weasley–style Christmas jumpers, Hogsmeade snow globes, and “Hogwarts in the Snow” mugs. Additionally, complimentary holiday-themed store tours will be offered every Tuesday–Thursday showcasing props, decorations, and trivia inspired by The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
A charitable season of giving
To celebrate the spirit of the season, the shops are partnering with local charities for a holiday sock drive. Guests may donate new, packaged socks of any size through Dec. 24. Chicago donations benefit Cradles to Crayons, while New York donations support Knock Knock Give a Sock. We know this charity drive would warm the heart of Dobby.
