Holiday World announces 400-drone and fireworks show for 2023

In the summer of 2023, Holiday World theme park in Santa Claus, Ind. will be adding 100 drones to their “Holidays in the Sky” nighttime spectacular, for a grand total of 400, alongside fireworks.

The park, with lands themed to different holidays, announced the new version of the show during its “Halloween in the Sky” drone show on Oct. 22, 2022. The 400-drone show will run nightly from June 17-July 31, 2023.

“Not only do 100 additional drones increase the scale of these scenes, but the complexity of the stories we’re going to be able to share,” says Lauren Crosby, the director of entertainment at Holiday World, whose family has owned the resort for four generations. “It’s going to be a challenge to top the 2022 ‘Holidays in the Sky’ drone show, but I know our team is up to the task.”

“Halloween in the Sky” will have its second and final show of the year at 7:45 p.m. on Oct. 29, 2022.

Holiday World’s last day of operation for the 2022 season is Oct. 30. For details on season passes for 2023, click here
