The lighting ceremony will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 1 at 6 p.m., bringing the entertainment complex’s latest addition — a 50-foot holiday tree decorated from top to bottom — to life.

The holiday tree will be visible to everyone strolling along International Drive throughout the holiday season.

The official lighting ceremony is open to the public and free to attend. It will feature special performances from the I-Ride Trolley Quartet, Dr. Phillips High School Dance in Motion Company, and the Orlando Ballet.

After the ceremony, guests can visit The Santa Workshop Experience located inside The Wheelhouse to meet and take beautiful holiday family photos with Santa. Children who take part in The Santa Workshop Experience will receive a free ticket to ride The Wheel at Icon Park. Guests accompanying the children will receive 50% off their tickets to The Wheel. However, reservations are required in advance and tickets can be booked online.

“Icon Park is proud the I-Drive Business Improvement District chose to bring their festive, 50-foot-tall holiday tree to our location after a two-year hiatus from International Drive. With our prime location in the heart of the Orlando Entertainment District, locals and tourists alike will be able to enjoy the beautiful view often throughout the holiday season,” said Chris Jaskiewicz, president and CEO of Icon Park. “In addition to the tree lighting ceremony, we have many exciting holiday activities throughout Icon Park for families to enjoy together.”
