New Imagineering YouTube series revives Disney Channel show ‘Imagineer That!’
Walt Disney Imagineering revived a defunct Disney Channel series for YouTube showing how theme park attractions are made: “Imagineer That!” hosted by Tom Morrow 2.0.

Tom Morrow returns in ‘Imagineer That!’
The original incarnation of “Imagineer That!” aired during commercial breaks on Disney Channel in the 2000s and was aimed at the network’s tween demographic. The new series, which on Walt Disney Imagineering’s YouTube channel on Aug. 24, 2025, is likewise directed at older elementary or middle-school students and runs for about four minutes.
Each episode involves Tom Morrow 2.0, a robot, answering a viewer’s question about how the Imagineers create the Disney parks.

In the first episode, Tom Morrow 2.0 interviews Jonathan Friday, senior creative director at Walt Disney Imagineering, to ask the question, “How do you think of new rides?” What follows is an explanation of Disney’s creative process in developing a new concept, from idea to execution. Along the way, viewers see glimpses of Imagineers researching for the future “Cars” rides coming to Magic Kingdom, as well as scale models for the Tropical Americas project coming to Animal Kingdom.

YouTube, the new Imagineering content haven
YouTube has become the go-to home for exclusive series from Walt Disney Imagineering. In 2024, Imagineering’s YouTube channel launched “We Call It Imagineering,” a series highlighting new attractions opening at the parks, such as the “Disney Starlight” nighttime parade in its most recent episode. “We Call It Imagineering” episode lengths have varied from 14-28 minutes.
Who is Tom Morrow 2.0? … and 1.0?
One might naturally wonder, “If this is Tom Morrow 2.0, who is Tom Morrow 1.0?” Tom Morrow was the name of various characters in Disney theme park history, including in Flight to the Moon at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom, as well as Innoventions at Disneyland, according to D23. Tom Morrow 2.0 first appeared in person in Innoventions at Epcot before hosting his Disney Channel series. (Tom’s home was one of many Epcot attractions to close in the park’s recent “transformation.”)

These days, while riding the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover at Magic Kingdom, guests can listen for an audio page for a “Mr. Morrow, Mr. Tom Morrow.”
