The Blue Man Group headlines on Saturday night at Immerse 2019, downtown Orlando’s 8th annual arts event from the Creative City Project.

The Blue Man Group, the Architects of the Air, Diavolo, and a thousand other artists will occupy downtown Orlando as the Creative City Project presents the Immerse 2019 arts event on Oct. 18 and 19.

Immerse 2019, the Creative City Project’s signature arts event, returns for its 8th year to the heart of Downtown Orlando on Friday, Oct. 18 and Saturday, Oct. 19. In partnership with the 2019 presenting sponsor, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, Immerse is the annual performing and interactive arts experience from The Creative City Project.

This year’s event features more than 1,000 artists from 140 arts organizations and artist collectives in the streets and public spaces of Downtown Orlando along Orange Avenue, Church Street and Pine Street on Friday and Saturday from 5 to 11 p.m., with installations opening at 3 p.m. on Saturday. This year, Immerse will also include activations at Seneff Plaza at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

Immerse 2019 features new acts and installations:

International entertainment phenomenon Blue Man Group performing on Saturday, October 19.

360 degree video inside The Architects of Air in Orlando. This video is best watched through the YouTube VR app on a VR headset, but you can also watch using the Youtube app on a mobile phone.

Large-scale inflatable environments The Architects of Air open Friday, Oct. 18-Sunday, Oct. 27.

American’s Got Talent Top 10 finalist Diavolo performing on Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19.

In addition, Immerse 2019 will also feature new versions of two of last year’s most popular experiences: The Immersive Photo Experience “The Worlds of Corkcicle” and The OUC Lights.

This year’s performance highlights include: Original content from Orlando Ballet, The Central Florida Community Arts Jazz Band, Opera Orlando, cultural performances, the creation of live murals and a special collaboration between Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, Florida Symphony Youth Orchestras and Creative City Project called “Orchestrate”.

General Admission tickets cost $10, and include access to viewing areas near the main stages. Guest without tickets may still watch from outside the viewing areas.

VIP Experience Tickets, and tickets that include access to Architects of Air and The Worlds of Corkcicle on Oct. 18-19 are currently sold out. But admission to Architects of Air and The Worlds of Corkcicle alone on Oct. 20-26 is $18.

We only wrote about the event. We don’t run it. You should contact them at creativecityproject.com. We suggested reaching out to one of their social media channels or just showing up and telling them what happened.
