Jolly Creek Holiday Festival features former Grand Floridian Society Orchestra
On select nights from Nov. 20, 2020, through Jan. 2, 2021, The Jolly Creek Holiday Festival and Marketplace in Kissimmee, Fla. will feature a magical light display, a holiday snowfall, and live musical performances by the Jolly Creek Society Orchestra, fresh off their 32-year run at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.
Dedicated to keeping artists and entertainers involved in paid gigs throughout the 2020 holiday season, Jolly Creek’s Festival Stage at the all-new holiday event will showcase a variety of performers, including unique and contemporary caroling by the Mistle-Tones and the Jolly Creek Society Orchestra (formerly the Grand Floridian Society Orchestra). Orchestra leader, Harold Johnson, notes the musicians are “excited to be booked for the holidays and playing at Jolly Creek.”
Jolly Creek is also committed to contributing to the Central Florida community and providing support to those personally impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite recent furloughs and lay-offs, the event is employing numerous unemployed individuals and has contracted local entertainment companies. Plus, a portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. Donations will also be accepted during the event from guests who wish to contribute directly.
Additional experiences can be purchased at a separate price, including specialty food and beverage offerings, marketplace items from vendors, and crafting kits for families to design their own personalized holiday souvenirs.
Select evenings during the event will be designated as “Paw-liday” nights when guests may bring their pups for an additional fee and have photos taken with Santa. Proper proof of vaccinations will be required for all dogs. Click here for details and restrictions.
