More than 70 photorealistic dinosaurs are returning from extinction to invade Southern California in 2021 with Jurassic Quest Drive-Thru.

The largest touring dinosaur exhibit in the U.S. will travel to four Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego-adjacent destinations after welcoming guests to sold-out weekends across the country:

  • Jan. 1-10: Del Mar Fairgrounds near San Diego
  • Jan 15-31: Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena
  • Feb. 5-14: OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa
  • Feb. 19-28: Fairplex in Pomona

The Jurassic Quest Drive Thru will transform the outdoor parking areas of these venues into an interactive drive-thru experience featuring more than 70 moving and life-like dinosaurs, as well as the 50-foot-long Megalodon. The dinos are displayed in realistic scenes that allow guests to see them roaring and moving as they drive through the tour.

More than 300,000 vehicles and 1.5 million people have attended the drive-thru since the national tour launched in mid-July with stops in New York, Boston, Philadelphia, San Antonio, Dallas, Oklahoma City, Detroit, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Ft. Lauderdale and Houston.

Guests attending one of the SoCal dates will be among the first to go on a quest with the adventure-for-all-ages online audio tour that will lead them through the dinosaur safari. The audio tour is available in English and Spanish, and special accommodations can be made for the hearing impaired.

In addition to the drive-thru, there will be opportunities to meet “baby” dinosaurs and the team of dino trainers, as well as the chance to take a safari-style photo of your vehicle and family transported back in time. One photo per family is included with the purchase of a ticket.

As for COVID-19 safety protocols, all guests are to remain in vehicles and to wear masks should they exit their vehicle in allowed areas. Social distancing is requested of all guests and will be maintained by Jurassic Quest crew. Equipment, dinosaurs and workstations are sanitized frequently throughout the entire event, and employees apply hand sanitizer and wash hands regularly throughout the day, as well as wear masks.

Tickets to the Jurassic Quest Drive-Thru are $49 per vehicle (8 people or less) and must be purchased in advance. To learn more, visit JurassicQuest.com.
