Kennedy Space Center launches new ‘3D’ entry experience

On Oct. 18, 2023, Kennedy Space Center (KSC) launched a new high-tech “3D” entry experience that makes walking into the NASA attraction even more educational and immersive.

The Kennedy Entry Experience is a 3,000-square-foot LEG video display showcasing a six-minute video of NASA's past, present, and future.

The new entry experience is a 3,000-square-foot LED video installation from SNA Displays, which is the same company behind the famous mega, LED display that wraps around a high-rise in New York’s Times Square.

The Kennedy Space Center entry experience is smaller but has the same wraparound design to give the show and graphics a 3D look.

The Entry Experience features a six-minute show that plays throughout the day and showcases NASA’s past, present, and future. The show also features President John F. Kennedy’s famous Moon Speech, notable moments in space exploration history, artifacts and experiences guests will find during their visit to KSC, and teases to NASA’s future.

The new display also has the ability to showcase themed immersive content, live feeds, and event advertising as well as be a tool to show emergency alerts like for inclement weather. In the future, KSC plans to use the display to live stream rocket launches and special events.

Through Nov. 5, 2023, KSC is hosting the next iteration of Taste of Space Fall Bites, an event featuring space-themed pop-up spots around the visitor complex to try sweet and savory bites. Attending the festival is included with KSC admission, but menu items are purchased separately.

Back in July, Kennedy Space Center was also recognized as a Certified Autism Center by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards.
