KFC launches Simpsons menu with a pink doughnut chicken sandwich
KFC’s new limited-time menu features fried chicken served between two doughnuts — including one covered in pink frosting and colorful sprinkles. The new KFC x The Simpsons menu debuted July 21 at KFC restaurants in Spain and Portugal.
For now, the colorful collaboration is exclusive to Spain and Portugal, but it is fun to see Springfield’s famously outrageous food leap off the screen in a new way. Perhaps KFC will bring the menu stateside as excitement builds for “The Simpsons Movie 2,” scheduled to arrive in theaters in 2027. No U.S. release has been announced.
What is on KFC’s Simpsons menu?
The centerpiece is the Rosquiburger, made with KFC fried chicken, bacon, cheese, Kentucky Gold sauce and two doughnuts in place of a traditional bun. Homer Simpson’s favorite treat inspires its pink-frosted top.
Other Springfield-inspired offerings include:
- Chillibites of Madness, cheese-and-chile bites referencing Homer’s encounter with the Guatemalan insanity pepper
- A frozen Squishee-inspired blueberry drink
- Catsup, recalling Mr. Burns’ memorable struggle to choose between ketchup and catsup
- Five limited-edition collectibles inspired by moments from the series
A box meal combines the Rosquiburger with a side, drink, three Chillibites, two Catsup packets and one collectible. The collectibles are available with orders while supplies last.
Instagram user @mentidero76 gave a closer look at the full Simpsons-inspired KFC experience in Cádiz, Spain.
The collaboration coincides with new episodes of “The Simpsons” arriving on Disney+ this summer, including “Yellow Mirror” on Aug. 26.
Although fans can already step inside Springfield and order oversized pink doughnuts at Universal Studios Florida and Universal Studios Hollywood, they will need a trip to Spain or Portugal to try KFC’s fried-chicken interpretation — at least for now.
