Zero Latency, the largest free-roam VR network in the world, and HTC VIVE, a premium VR company, are hosting “Champions of the Undead” now through Sept. 6, 2023. The victor of the worldwide zombie-killing spree in Zero Latency’s “Undead Arena” game will receive $15,000.

“A Post-Apocalyptic Game Show in an ‘80s-Retro World”

The competition celebrates the milestone of three million global plays of Zero Latency experiences. The company launched in 2015 in Melbourne, Australia and now has over 70 locations around the world.

Zero Latency describes the backstory of “Undead Arena” as this:

You and your friends are the stars of a post-apocalyptic game show in an ‘80s-retro world. Fight your way up a multi-level arena for the enjoyment of a crowd hungry for mayhem, and the amusement of one wildly enthusiastic game show host. Win, and become legends. Lose, and join the horde.

“Undead Arena” is a narrative follow-up to “Zombie Survival,” another Zero Latency experience.
