‘Lego Mythica’ 4D movie coming to Legoland Florida Resort

by Brittani Tuttle

Guests visiting Legoland Florida Resort will soon be able to enter an undiscovered world where Lego creatures come to life, thanks to the all-new 4D movie, “Lego Mythica – Journey to Mythica.”

Opening May 27, the new film will debut at the park’s Fun Town Theater alongside a new augmented reality (AR) experience themed to the same imaginative fantasy world.

The 4D movie follows Bobs, a courageous Alicorn on an adventure into Mythica. There, he and the audience will experience enchanted forests, raging seas, hidden caves, fire, and ice. Bobs will have to escape the Chimera, soar with Maximus the Sky Lion, and make a splash with Duo the Hydra — all before discovering his true powers.

The AR experience will be a scavenger hunt in which families will work together to find the creatures from the 4D movie and save Mythica by “inspiring kids to create again.” Guests will explore all sections of Miniland to discover seven hidden Lego Mythica creatures and “capture” them as digital trading cards that reveal their organic forms within the world of Mythica. This unique experience can be accessed through the free Legoland Florida mobile app.

Miniland will reopen for this limited-time experience this summer before continuing construction on the previously-announced shade structure.

These new offerings are themed to the same Lego Mythica universe as the new land coming to Legoland Windsor Resort, which opens later this month.
