As families look for fun and educational activities to do during their time stuck at home, Legoland California Resort has launched a new website filled with instructional videos and activities called “Legoland Building Challenge.”
Every Wednesday, the resort will announce a new theme and release a new instructional “how to build” video hosted by a Master Model Builder. On Fridays, Legoland California will highlight builds posted by followers on the resort’s social media pages and ask families for ideas on what to construct next.
The first instructional video on the site features Master Model Builder PJ Catalano building a birthday cupcake to celebrate the park’s 21st birthday.
“So many children are missing out on birthday parties and celebrating their birthday at the park, so we thought a birthday theme seemed fitting as our inaugural build,” said Kurt Stocks, general manager of Legoland California Resort.
In addition to the builds, the website will also offer other activities including coloring pages, trivia, word games, and more. All offerings on the Legoland Building Challenge website are free and available for everyone to enjoy.
If you’re looking for new Lego sets for your kids (or even yourself!) to build during this time at home, you can go online and purchase sets that aren’t normally for sale in the Park’s Big Shop — and also receive free shipping! To learn more, click here.
At the time of writing, Legoland California Resort is closed until further notice:
