The Pirate River Quest boat ride family attraction was originally announced in 2021 at the Legoland Florida resort’s 10th anniversary, and was set to open in November of 2022.  However, usually high water levels in the area delayed Pirate River Quest to next year.

Pirate River Quest will be located in the Lake Eloise and Cypress Gardens section of Legoland, and will allow guests to uncover the lost treasure of Captain Redbeard, with a variety of exciting sequences that tell the tale of a rowdy Lego pirate crew, a troop of “mischievous” monkeys, and a “fearsome” kraken.

New special event weekends will accompany the ride’s grand opening, too: for five consecutive weeks starting Jan. 21, 2023, guests can enjoy Pirate Fest Weekends, set to feature exclusive character meet-and-greets, entertainment, Lego builds, and specialty food, all included with regular park admission or an Annual Pass.

Speaking of which, Legoland has released a new slate of annual pass options. There are four packages to choose from.

The most affordable, the Bronze Annual Pass, is available exclusively to Florida residents and offers park entry for 280 select days of the year. The Silver, Gold, and Platinum Passes all have varying perks and add-ons, the details of which you can find at legoland.com
