Lightsaber building returning soon to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Guests will soon be able to experience one of the iconic experiences offered inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge once again, as lightsaber building is set to return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Starting Sept. 20, the Gatherers of Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers will invite travelers into the mysterious shop in Black Spire Outpost to train them in the ways of constructing a lightsaber.

The experience will be “slightly adjusted” in comparison to the previous experience offered at the shop. Capacity will be reduced to accommodate physical distancing between guests in accordance with the park’s guidelines, and advanced reservations are highly recommended.

Reservations will open for Savi’s Workshop on Sept. 16, and can be made online or through the My Disney Experience app. Guests can also visit the shop in person on the day of their visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to check for any walk-up availability. Guests must have a valid Disney Parks Pass resrevation for Dsney’s Hollywood Studios in order to make a reservation for lightsaber building at Savi’s Workshop.
