Students from Orange County Public Schools recently had the chance to paint the first brush strokes on the new Crayola Experience wall mural at The Florida Mall.
Students were nominated by their visual arts teachers and were selected in a random drawing. These lucky students enjoyed a morning of painting and special memories. The exterior painting will continue through the month of January with intricate details being painted by a muralist. The exterior will come to life with Crayola colors and 3D characters. Once complete it will become an iconic wall at the Florida Mall and seen at a distance from the Beachline Expressway.
“We are thrilled to have these students apply the first splash of color to our new attraction,” Jackie Vasquez, marketing and sales manager said. “It is a special day for all of us.”
Families will enjoy many of the brand’s signature attractions at the new Crayola Experience – such as “Wrap it Up!” where you can name and wrap an authentic Crayola crayon and “Be a Star,” where you can star in your very own coloring page – as well as some new attractions that will debut in Orlando. The attraction also will have a retail component where guests will discover hundreds of unique Crayola products and souvenirs. This is the second location for the attraction.
“The Crayola Experience will bring a new dimension of creative play and colorful fun to The Florida Mall when it opens in the summer,” said Brian Hanson, general manager at The Florida Mall. “This unique, activity-oriented retailer will provide an enhanced visitor experience and exceptional retail option at The Florida Mall.”
