Look up! The Thunderbirds will fly over Walt Disney World on Thursday

To show respect for those who serve in the military and their families, Walt Disney World Resort is hosting a flyover of Magic Kingdom Park by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds flight demonstration team on Oct.27, 2022.

During the flyover – a prelude to National Veterans and Military Families Month 2022 in November – the Thunderbirds will make two passes over the park beginning at 9:30 a.m. (weather permitting), and culminating in their famous delta maneuver behind and above Cinderella Castle, will where they will accelerate in different directions, giving the appearance of a fireworks display over the iconic castle.

Walt and Roy Disney both served the United States during World War I, and the company they founded remains a leading proponent of hiring, training, and supporting military veterans with the Heroes Work Here initiative, the Heroes Supply Here program, and Disney’s Veterans Institute. Thursday’s flyover is the latest example of Walt Disney World Resort’s tradition of
celebrating members of the United States military.
