The Magic Key program will feature a theme park reservation system like that of regular day tickets to the parks. Magic Key holders will make advanced reservations to visit Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure on available dates, and will be able to hold a certain number of upcoming reservations depending on their pass type.

Those who have this new pass will also get other perks, like savings on merchandise and food & beverages. Throughout the year, these guests can also enjoy other benefits, like a dedicated dining experience and custom menu items at the Magic Key terrace — a special and exclusive lounge located near Golden Vine Winery at Disney California Adventure —, special offerings at the resort’s seasonal festivals, a Magic Key holder celebration month, and more. There will also be a new portal added to the Disneyland mobile app for deeper engagement with the community in the future.

For a limited time, the charter members of the new program who join within the first 66 days (to celebrate 66 years of Disneyland Resort) will receive a special welcome package that includes a premium branded pin, celebratory button, magnet, and more. Members who enter Disneyland park will also get access to a limited-time experience at Starcade in Tomorrowland starting Sept. 1, where they can enjoy charging stations, a special photo-op, and more.

Starting Aug. 25, 2021, no earlier than 10 a.m. PT, guests can purchase their preferred Magic Key pass type, with their first chance to “unlock” a visit to the resort with a theme park reservation being that same day! California residents will be able to take part in an exclusive monthly payment plan, with passes starting at $399 or $19 per month for 12 months after an initial down payment.

Guests will be able to purchase and manage their Magic Key pass through Disneyland’s official website and mobile app, where they can access an interactive admission calendar for their pass type to see reservation availability and book their next visit.

As an extra exciting bit of news, Walt Disney World Resort will resume the sale of annual passes in time for the start of the 50th anniversary celebration in October. More details will be shared later this month.
