This year marks 60 years since Spider-Man came swinging into the comic book scene with 1962’s “Amazing Fantasy #15,” and to celebrate, Marvel will release a slew of variant comic book covers featuring the company’s most famous heroes sporting their own Spidey suits.

The covers debut in April, and Marvel recently shared sneak peaks at the first 10 variants.
The artists on the first ten covers include Dan Jurgens, Kaare Andrews, Rahzzah, Kyle Hotz, Declan Shalvey, Pete Woods, Rod Reis, David Baldeon, Bengal, Romina Jones and more lending their own unique style to create new costumes inspired by Spider-Man.
Also in April, Marvel will release a new series of “The Amazing Spider-Man” with issue #1 from legendary creators writer Zeb Wells and artist John Romita Jr.
Marvel teased what the next Amazing Spider-Man volume will be about:
Peter’s on the outs with the FF. He’s on the outs with the Avengers. He’s even on the outs with Aunt May! After a terrible and mysterious incident, no one wants to see Spider-Man – except for Doctor Octopus. Ock’s on Spider-Man’s tail and the Master Planner has something truly terrible planned for when he gets his tentacles on Spidey. All that, and Tombstone makes a move that will remind readers why he’s one of Spider-Man’s most terrifying villains…
“Spider-Man doesn’t turn 60 every year,” editor Nick Lowe said in a release from Marvel. “and we are going BIG with this run, cramming it with the biggest WTF moments Spidey has ever had. Zeb and JRJR will go down in history as one of the best creative teams ever!”
