‘Marvel’s Behind the Mask’ documentary coming soon to Disney+
Marvel Entertainment has announced that a brand-new documentary special, “Marvel’s Behind the Mask,” will debut Feb. 12 exclusively on Disney+.
The documentary will explore the power of identity behind the iconic Marvel Super Heroes we know and love today.
From the very start of comic books, secret identities have been a part of both super heroes and villains leading “normal” lives; but it’s the characters beneath that stay with us across generations. Marvel’s writers and artists have long used the notion of identities to explore equal rights – reflecting the world outside and ourselves.
“Marvel’s Behind the Mask” will feature guests from across Marvel’s 80-year history, including the writers and artists behind characters like Black Panther, Miles Morales, Ms. Marvel, Luke Cage, the X-Men, Captain Marvel, and more as they highlight Marvel’s impact on pop culture and beyond.
