May-Hem con returns this weekend with American Horror Story: Freak Show cast and more

Spooky Empire’s annual May-Hem horror convention is returning this weekend from Friday, May 15 through Sunday, May 17, 2015 inside The Double Tree at Universal Studios.

The hit FX show American Horror Story will be represented as some of the cast from Freak Show will be in attendance. Other guests appearing this year are Lana Parrilla from Once Upon A Time, Kathy Najimy from Hocus Pocus, Ernie Hudson from Ghostbusters, and E.G. Daily, the voice of Tommy Pickles in Rugrats.

There will also be cast members from the SyFy show Face Off, consisting of judge Glenn Hetrick, season 8 contestants Adam Milicevic and Emily Serpico, season 7 contestant Dave O’Connell, season 3 contestant Eric Garcia, and season 2 contestant Nix Herrera.

A new Day of the Dead opening celebration will take place May 15 at noon by the poolside, featuring drinks, music, events, costumes and more. Makeup artists will also be on hand during the event, with prices for face and body makeup starting at $15.

Halloween Extreme this year will be providing special tours of some of Central Florida’s best haunts, including The Shallow Grave, Howl-O-Scream, Legends of Old Town and The Republic. Tickets for these special haunt tours can be purchased at HalloweenExtreme.com.

Of course there is the May-Hem vendor room loaded with merchandise, collectibles and artists. Plus Spooky Empire’s Tattoo Festival, costume contest and more.
