Trade your legs for fins with Mermaid Auditions at Weeki Wachee Springs
If you’ve ever thought that flipping your fins might actually get you far, then you’re in luck: Weeki Wachee Springs State Park is hosting Mermaid Auditions this August.
On Aug. 21 and 23 at 9 a.m., half-fish hopefuls can put their swimming skills to the test in order to become one of the Weeki Wachee Mermaids. The audition will include an endurance swim and underwater skills test.
Potential mermaids are asked to bring a current headshot and a resume with them, and be able to work at least four days a week. Starting pay for new mermaids is $10 per hour, and those interested must be at least 18 years old to audition.
If you truly believe that life is the bubbles, then don’t miss out on Mermaid Auditions starting Aug. 21. To learn more about Weeki Wachee Springs State Park, head to WeekiWachee.com.
