Mickey’s Circus event brings previews of upcoming Disney pins and Vinylmation

The annual Disney Trading event was held this past weekend at Epcot. This year’s theme was Mickey’s Circus and besides trading and buying exclusive merchandise, paid attendees received a sneak peek at some upcoming pins and vinyl products.

The event was held in the World Showplace, which is between Canada and the U.K. at Epcot. Unlike in recent years, they didn’t open the event up to the public on the last day. In past years, the last day was a half-day Vinylmation event for attendees before it was opened to the public. But Vinylmation has gotten so popular that a full day was needed.

Here’s a look at the main entrance. In past years this was also a checkout area, but this year they added a small store inside.

When we visited on Sunday, there were long lines to trade Vinylmation. At these events, they mix in a lot of popular figures – more than you can usually find doing regular trading at the parks.

Each trading area was themed. Here’s one that seems to be themed to The Haunted Mansion, but I’m not sure why Jessica Rabbit is pictured.

These small caskets held different figures.

In the back of the area guests could set up to trade with each other.

This one is themed to Dumbo. It reminded me of the new queue tent for Dumbo’s ride in Storybook Circus.

They also had some streetmosphere characters roaming around. She wanted to make sure I got her shoes in the photo.

Let’s go through some of the upcoming Vinylmation figures that were on display, followed by just a few of the many pins that will be coming out.

This Haunted Mansion set was a long time in the making. It will be released any day now.
