Mirabel, Moana, and Figment meet and greets coming to Walt Disney World this year
A few rarely-seen characters will soon appear at meet and greet locations throughout Walt Disney World. Fan favorites Mirabel, Moana, and Figment will greet fans in different parks throughout Walt Disney World in 2023. New Character Meet and Greets at Walt Disney World
Character meet and greets are a favorite activity of many at Disney Parks. Hugging characters and taking photos is often a highlight of a Disney Parks vacation. Thankfully, new character meet and greets continue to be added to Walt Disney World, much to the delight of visitors and fans everywhere.
Moana to Greet Fans in Animal Kingdom
Just in time for Animal Kingdom’s 25th anniversary, Moana will make her first regular meet and greet appearance at this park. Beginning April 22, 2023, fans can greet Moana and take photos with her at Discovery Island in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The backdrop at the photo location will include authentic woven tapestries and other props that will reflect the cultural heritage of the Pacific Islander people.
Meet and Greet for Mirabel at Magic Kingdom
From Disney’s Encanto, Madrigal family member Mirabel has already made regular meet and greet appearances at Disneyland. Later this fall, she will also appear at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. Previously, Mirabel was only featured in the Magic Kingdom during the Character Cavalcade parade.
Mirabel’s meet and greet location will be a permanent offering in Fairytale Garden. This location is currently home to the Merida meet-and-greet. Fairytale Garden will be updated with a recreation of the famous “Casita” from the film “Encanto”. Details about Merida’s permanent meet and greet removal were unavailable at this article’s publishing time.
Epcot Icon Figment to Receive Meet-and-Greet
Everyone’s beloved purple dragon, Figment, is no longer a figment of our meet and greet imagination. He will have a dedicated location to greet fans in the new Imagination Pavilion in late summer 2023.
