On May 27, the opening of Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s newest land, Pandora – The World of Avatar brings Disney’s newest step toward making visiting the parks easier: Mobile Order. Not only will this service be available in Pandora, but soon will be accessible at three other restaurants in Animal Kingdom this summer.
Mobile Order is a new food ordering service found in the My Disney Experience app on the App Store and Google Play, in which guests can conveniently place their meal order on-the-go, pay ahead of time, and then pick up their order at the restaurant.
Once the meal order is placed, guests just simply have to walk to the restaurant, tap the “I’m here” button, and then be alerted through the app to pick up the meal at a Mobile Order designated window once it is ready.
Initially, Mobile Order will only accept payment in the form of credit cards. Additionally, any guest that has special dietary needs, use their dining plan, or utilize discounts will have to place their order in the location with a cashier.
Currently, only Satu’li Canteen in Pandora utilizes Mobile Order, but the service will expand to Flame Tree Barbecue, Pizzafari and Restaurantosaurus later this summer. More Mobile Order quick service and fast casual dining locations across the Walt Disney World Resort are also coming, but have yet to be specifically announced.
