Monster trucks will be racing, jumping and smashing at the Citrus Bowl this Saturday

The Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium is being filled with dirt. No, they’re not destroying it, they’re making a track for the monster trucks to tear up. Monster Jam will be held this Saturday in Orlando and you can see some of the trucks up close at various locations around Orlando this Thursday and Friday.

The annual Monster Jam is one of Orlando’s most popular and largest single day stadium events, attracting capacity crowds of more than 60,000. Fourteen of the sports’ marquis 1,500 horsepower, 10,000-pound monster trucks – the most ever scheduled for an Orlando event – will compete in side-by-racing and the fan-favorite freestyle competition.

In the freestyle competition, each truck gets 90 seconds to “wow” the crowd with huge jumps, wheelies, truck-spinning donuts and the destruction of cars, vans, buses, motor homes and more. The event also includes the half racing/half demolition derby action with a trailer race finale that you have to see to believe, and ATV Quad Wars Racing.

In addition to the Monster Jam show at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29, here’s find a list of locations and times when you can see a monster truck up close free of charge.
