The transformation into Pixar Place Hotel will take place over the next few months, with completion expected this winter.

Disneyland guests may have already noticed that the exterior has a colorful new look, but the new lobby space will also incorporate Pixar imagery, complete with the Pixar Lamp balancing atop its primary-colored ball, which will welcome guests this winter.

But first, an all-new water play area inspired by “Finding Nemo” will be available for overnight guests this summer featuring a 186-foot-long waterslide and pop-jet splash pad. Later this year, a family play court will be added to the deck, with activities inspired by Pixar’s short films.

The pool deck will also be a perfect spot to cozy up to character-inspired firepits and take in views of the Disneyland’s nighttime fireworks spectaculars.

This fall, Great Maple restaurant will open on the ground floor featuring a full bar and signature dishes like Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Maple Bacon Doughnuts, Cajun Shrimp & Cheddar Biscuit Benedict, and Soda Pop-Braised Baby Back Ribs.

Great Maple will also offer food and beverage service at the pool, as well as a new grab and go coffee shop and café near the lobby, and at a later date, a new concierge lounge.

Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel will remain open during the refurbishments. Click here for more information.

  1. So much for WDW’s Arts & Animation Resort. I’d always considered that WDW Hotel to be a Pixar themed resort.
