New Epic Universe restaurant(s) opening in 2026

A new restaurant (or two) will open in 2026 at Universal Epic Universe in Orlando, Fla. Here’s what we know and some hints about what kind of food will be served there.

Despite Epic Universe having just opened on May 22, 2025, the new theme park is already looking ahead to the future. A fully built restaurant (or two restaurants within one building, TBD) remains unopened in the Celestial Park area of Epic Universe, despite the building’s exterior construction seemingly being finished.

New restaurant on the way at Epic Universe

A sign recently added to an entrance door reads: “Travelers – Pardon our stardust as we ignite a galaxy of flavors and culinary delights coming 2026.”

The exterior of the future restaurant maintains the regal, star-charting aesthetic of Celestial Park’s other buildings.

Universal has not formally announced the restaurant, its name, or what food guests will eat here. However, a 2024 piece of concept artwork depicts this building with signage reading, “Mexican fresh.”

This new restaurant opening in 2026 is located to the right side after guests pass through the Chronos portal at the main entrance of Epic Universe. If beginning at Luna Overlook, the restaurant is past the gift shops but before the portal leading into How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk. The restaurant is designated by the star emoji we added to the screenshot below of the Epic Universe map within the Universal Orlando app.

Celestial Park already home to 16 dining locations

Celestial Park serves as the central hub of Epic Universe and the place to access the park’s other four worlds: Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, and How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk. Celestial Park also boasts a large fountain with synchronized shows, as well as lush gardens, a carousel, and the Stardust Racers roller coaster.

One of the true stars of Celestial Park, though, is its cuisine. Celestial Park is home to the only two sit-down restaurants in Epic Universe: Atlantic and The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant. Also within the central hub are three indoor quick-service locations (Pizza Moon, The Oak & Star Tavern, and Meteor Astropub), four walk-up dining counters (Celestial Popcorn, Comet Dogs, Frosty Moon, and Star Sui Bao), three indoor bars (Aquaria Bar, The Plastered Owl, and Tiger Bar), two outdoor bars (CelesTiki and Bar Zenith), and two Starbucks locations (one indoors, one outdoors). The addition of the new restaurant opening in 2026 will bring the total number of dining locations to 17 (possibly 18) in this haven for Epic Universe food.
