New Exotic Driving Experience allows guests to drive their dream cars at Disney World

A new offering at the Walt Disney World Speedway offers a chance to “drive your dream”, that is, if it’s always been your dream to drive a car that’s probably worth more than your house. The new Exotic Driving Experience offers some of the world’s finest automobiles with a track specifically designed for drivers to safely experience the cars’ powerful acceleration, speed and handling.

Guests can choose to drive one of the following: Ferrari 458 Italia ($389), Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 ($339), Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 ($299), Audi R8 ($269) or the Porsche 997 S ($199). Future plans include the addition of other exotic models. But if you’d like to save a little money and have a professional do the driving, you can ride-along for $99.

Petty Holdings is the owner and operator of both the new Exotic Driving Experience and the Richard Petty Driving Experience, which is also available at the Speedway.

Your experience starts out with a class to give you all the details on your drive and safety information. You won’t be driving alone, a driving instructor will sit in the passenger seat to help you along the course.

The one-mile layout includes the tri-oval’s backstretch and turn two, then an interior road course-style section designed specifically for Exotic Driving Experience. It features a series of quick, challenging right and left-hand turns, known as “switch backs.”

The supercars all feature paddle shifting, with no clutch to worry about. If guests don’t want to worry about shifting at all, automatic can be switched on. Guests will be able to take six laps around the course.

Guests must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license to participate in the driving experience and they must be at least 14 years old to participate in the ride-along. There’s a $35 Driver Release Fee plus photos and videos of each guest’s experience are available for purchase.

  1. Good Morning,

I was wondering if you could send me some more information regarding the “Exotic Driving Experience”. Me and 5 others are interested in taking a trip to Disney World. As well are we allowed to split cars, such as a few laps in an R8 then in the 458.

  2. Wow! such an opportunity to drive one of those cars, but sadly it isn’t possible here in my country. I’m wondering how much fun will it be to drive without worrying for any traffic, and aside from that you’re inside a ferrari. Wow!
