New FastPass+ options coming to My Disney Experience

Frequently requested enhancements for selecting FastPass+ reservations are coming soon to My Disney Experience.

Walt Disney World guests will soon have some much-requested new options when booking FastPass+ attraction reservations through the My Disney Experience website and app.

Ever since FastPass+ was introduced to the Walt Disney World theme parks in 2014, guests have been asking for certain enhancements to the way attractions reservations are booked within the My Disney Experience website and smartphone app. As of Sunday, April 10, 2016, many of their wishes will finally be granted.

First, Walt Disney World guests will now be able to individually select specific time windows for each of their three attractions at the time the book their FastPass+ reservations. Previously, guests could select from one of several “best match” time options presented by My Disney Experience, and would have to edit their selections after booking in hopes of getting the precise times they preferred.

Second, guests will now have the option to book only one or two FastPass+ attractions, instead of being forced to select 3 and cancel or “waste” any unwanted reservations.

Finally, and most importantly, Walt Disney World guests will now be able to book an additional FastPass+ after using their first three via the My Disney Experience app or website on their smartphone, instead of having to wait in line for an in-park FastPass+ kiosk. Kiosks will still be available for guests to book their fourth (or fifth, sixth, etc.) FastPass+ if they wish, but the ability to make additional reservations after the first set have been used has been one of My Disney Experience’s most-requested features.

These new enhancements to FastPass+ and My Disney Experience should become available to Walt Disney World guests beginning on Sunday, April 10, barring any technical delays. Be sure to check your smartphone’s App Store and download any available updates for My Disney Experience in order to take advantage of these new options.

After you use your first passes at one park, you can book the next in a different park.
