New Live Action ‘Ahsoka’ Star Wars Series coming to Disney+

With the massive success of the “The Mandalorian” on Disney+, and with Disney’s quality-first business strategy, comes the next set of Star Wars shows to Disney’s streaming service. “Ahsoka” will be a live action series starring Rosario Dawson. Dawson made her debut as the live action form of Ahsoka in “The Mandalorian” just a few weeks ago.

Ahsoka on Disney+

“Ahsoka”, a Star Wars series, does not currently have a release date or trailer, but it is debuting in the coming years on Disney+. Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni will work together as creative leads for this show and “Rangers of the New Republic” as all three shows will intertwine. Ahsoka will be set in the time period of “The Mandalorian” and will make direct ties to that show and others in the future.

It was also announced that “Rangers of the New Republic,” “Ahsoka,” and “The Mandalorian” will all directly tie into each other. Much like Marvel’s large push of interconnected stories with the Marvel Cinematic Universe; it appears Disney+ is pushing ahead with numerous interconnected Star Wars series all debuting at the same time.
