New ‘Marvel vs. Aliens’ variant covers coming this summer
For the first time ever, this August the Avengers will go up against Aliens. To celebrate, Marvel is releasing a few special variant covers for some of their favorite heroes.
New “Aliens vs. Avengers” Comic
Comic creators Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribić have teamed up once again, this time to create an epic four-issue run of “Aliens vs. Avengers,” which drops in August. While Marvel has been producing comic books in the “Alien” universe the past few years, this will be the first time characters from that franchise go up against the Avengers.
“Aliens vs. Avengers” will take place in a new timeline. The Xenomorphs are attempting to invade Earth, so the Avengers must assemble. However, these will be some older and darker versions of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
“Marvel vs. Alien” Variant Covers
The Marvel variant covers to honor this comic will kick off in July. It’s already going to be a massive month for the Merc with a Mouth, with “Deadpool & Wolverine” coming out in theaters July 26, so who better to drop the first variant cover than Deadpool?
