New poolside cabanas, special events coming to Grande Lakes Orlando this summer
Grande Lakes Orlando, the 500-acre luxury resort complex comprising of The Ritz-Carlton Orlando and JW Marriott Orlando, has launched a calendar of summer events, as well as new luxury poolside cabanas.
Debuting just in time for summer, guests can lounge in newly-built personal cabanas alongside the pool at The Ritz-Carlton. Amenities include a seasonal fruit plate and snack basket, a mini fridge with non-alcoholic beverages, a sun care gift bag, and more — with sofa seating and chaise loungers to relax on. Cabanas can be reserved via the Grande Lakes Orlando website.
Memorial Day Weekend
Starting Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, Grande Lakes Orlando will offer guests complimentary Summer Shaved Ice on-site from 1-3 p.m. every Thursday through Sunday from May 27 – Sept. 6. Families can also enjoy a weekly movie night every Thursday at 7 p.m. at The Ritz-Carlton Orlando or ride the Grande Lakes Express train from the lakeside gazebo every weekend at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
For Memorial Day Weekend, guests at The Ritz-Carlton Orlando can enjoy a special lunch and dinner menu at Highball & Harvest. At JW Marriott Orlando, Citron will offer special dishes all weekend long.
Guests at both resorts can view a complimentary firework display on Sunday, May 30 at 9 p.m. Fireworks can also be seen from the balcony of one of the newly-designed guest rooms at The Ritz-Carlton.
Father’s Day
To celebrate Father’s Day, dads can enjoy a Father’s Day Beer, Bourbon and Cigar Garden at The Ritz-Carlton, featuring samples of locally-crafted beer, top shelf bourbon, and cigar rolling lessons. The event will take place on Sunday, June 20 from 12-2 p.m. at the Highball & Harvest Courtyard. Father’s Day menus will also be on offer at both Highball & Harvest and at Knife & Spoon.
Whisper Creek Farm: The Kitchen and The Brewery located at the JW Marriott Orlando will celebrate dads with a Father’s Day Brunch featuring an a la carte menu on Sunday, June 20 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Fourth of July
On July 4, guests at The Ritz-Carlton Orlando can join a luau-themed fair with games, contests, shows, slides and more, taking place on the DaVinci lawn from 5-9 p.m. In addition, both restaurants Highball & Harvest and Knife & Spoon at The Ritz-Carlton, and Citron at JW Marriott will offer a Fourth of July a la carte menu.
The lazy river at JW Marriott Orlando will offer games, live entertainment, and drink specials from Sunday, July 4 – Wednesday, July 7 at the JW Pool Deck.
Guests at both resorts can enjoy another complimentary fireworks display at 9 p.m.
Labor Day Weekend
Celebrate the end of summer with Labor Day Poolside games at The Ritz-Carlton on Sunday, Sept. 5 from 1-3 p.m.; and games, arts & crafts, water slides, and live entertainment at JW Pool Deck from Saturday, Sept. 4 – Monday, Sept. 6.
Highball & Harvest and Knife & Spoon at The Ritz-Carlton, as well as Primo at JW Marriott, will each feature special menus.
One final firework display to close out the season will take place on Sunday, Sept. 5 at 9 p.m.
