New ‘Tomb Raider’ interactive experience opening 2022 in London

Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix, the home of the “Tomb Raider” video game franchise, is bringing Lara Croft to London in an immersive new experience.

In collaboration with U.K.’s Little Lion Entertainment, Tom Raider: The Live Experience” will take fans on a wild journey starting April 1, 2022.

To be working with […] Crystal Dynamics is an honor and even more special given it’s marking the 25th anniversary of the franchise,” said Tom Lionetti-Maguire, CEO and founder of Little Lion Entertainment. “Not only will people be whisked into a fantasy narrative on this journey, but they will find surprises, adventure and wonderment around every trap-laden corner. ‘Unique’ doesn’t even begin to describe how much this legendary explorer’s experience is going to take people’s breath away. We make our guests the stars of the action, and what a wild time they are in for here.”

Adventure-seekers will team up in groups of eight to join Croft on her persuit to recover a powerful artifact that has fallen into the hands of a dangerous enemy. The mission? To save the world.

Guests will escape a sinking ship, explore the jungles of Costa Rica, discover an ancient tomb, work through environmental puzzles and battle a secret order as this new attraction blends scenic design and live actors portraying characters from the “Tomb Raider” franchise to life.

Guests can get a taste of the action themselves in the 30,000-square foot destination located in the heart of Camden, within the famous Stable Market, one of London’s most popular tourist spots.

Based on the video games and films, Tomb Raider: The Live Experience allows for groups of friends and families to become part of the action and immerse themselves in the worlds they know and love.

“We are extraordinarily excited to help little Lion […] realize this live-action ‘Tomb Raider’ experience,” said Dallas Dickinson, “Tomb Raider” executive producer at Crystal Dynamics. “Lara is an icon who transcends generations, so we know that fans of all ages will run, jump, and swing at this chance to save the world alongside their hero, Lara Croft.”

Early Bird tickets to Tomb Raider: The Live Experience are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting TombRaiderLive.co.uk. The Deluxe Early Bird ticket is available for £99 ($131.70 USD), and guests will be among the first to play and get their own portrait hanging in Croft Manor at the Camden-based attraction. Regular Early Bird tickets are also available for £77 ($102.43 USD), where they can be one of the first to experience the attraction. General admission ticket sales will open on Dec. 15, 2021.
