The newly-renovated McDonald’s location near Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort has soft-opened to guests.
Guests can visit to check out the new look and grab a bite to eat between the hours of 11 a.m. and 8 p.m.
The outside of the establishment features solar panels on the roof and an area to power the lights on the golden arches.
There is plenty of room to be socially distant inside, which is reassuring for guests in these challenging times. Some of the tables even have lights in them.
“Like all McDonald’s restaurants, this location has strict health and safety measures in place to protect customers and crew during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are monitoring the situation closely and look forward to sharing more about plans for the restaurant’s full reopening – including its unique, sustainable design features – soon,” said McDonald’s USA in a statement.
The windows for the updated McDonald’s are designed to “breathe” in order to save energy. There are signs around the restaurant that explain this to guests.
Stay tuned for more updates about this location’s full reopening.
