Official trailer for ‘The New Mutants’ mixes Marvel with horror

A new trailer for the long-delayed release of “The New Mutants” from 20th Century Fox and Marvel Entertainment has dropped.

This original horror-thriller tells the story of a group of young mutants who are being held for psychiatric monitoring in an isolated hospital. When strange and horrific things begin happening, the group’s new friendships and mutant abilities will be tested as they try to make it out alive.

Directed by Josh Boone (“The Fault in Our Stars”) and written by Boone and Knate Lee, “The New Mutants” stars Maisie Williams (HBO’s “Game of Thrones”), Anya Taylor-Joy (“The Witch”), Charlie Heaton (Netflix’s “Stranger Things”), Alice Braga (“I Am Legend,” USA Network’s “Queen of the South”), Blu Hunt (CW’s “The Originals”), and Henry Zaga (MTV’s “Teen Wolf,” Netflix’s “13 Reasons Why”).
