Old Town announces renovations
New events and renovations are coming to Old Town to mark the Kissimmee complex’s 30th anniversary.

Old Town, the Kissimmee walking district full of shops and entertainment east of Walt Disney World on 192, has announced renovations and family-friendly events to celebrate its 30th anniversary celebration in December.

From now through the end of the year, Old Town is inviting guests to participate in the new events and happenings every month as part of its countdown in celebration of 30 years of family friendly entertainment. Events include the End of Summer Country Concert with musical artist Mark Wills in September, Zombie Tag in October as part of its Halloween festivities, and its anniversary celebration in December.

Upcoming additions and renovations to Old Town include two new jukebox shaped 45’ tall pylon signs and an 85’ Ferris wheel in late September. Other renovations consist of a new parking lot, entertainment area and carousel bar.

“As Old Town nears its 30th anniversary, we are beyond excited to welcome additional attractions and restaurants, and host brand new events for our guests,” said Thearon Scurlock, Old Town General Manager. “Old Town has always been an authentic staple for families and we’re proud of that. With our 30th anniversary approaching, we invite everyone to partake in what we are calling ‘Simple Pleasures.’ The countdown is on!”

Ongoing events include the popular Little Darlin’s Street Party and Cruise-In, Friday Nite All American Muscle Car Cruise, Saturday Nite Classic Car Cruise and Sundae Family Fun Day. Parking is free Sunday through Thursday and is $10 on Fridays and Saturdays.
