Meet the Olympics mascots for the 2026 Winter Games: Milo & Tina
Chosen by national poll, stoat siblings Milo and Tina will serve as the Olympics mascots for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games.

The two main Olympics mascots are based on the stoats of the Alps, and feature the two different coat color variations common there. Stoats are some of the world’s smallest predators, and are relatives of the weasel and the ferret.

Here’s a little bit about the stories of mascots Milo, Tina, and their friends known as “The Flo” based on the Olympics’ official descriptions:
- Milano “Milo,” the brown stoat, is the 2026 Paralympic mascot. He was born without a leg, but has learned to make do with his tail and sheer willpower, which has turned him into a practical and creative inventor. He loves the mountains he has made his home, and looks forward to seeing the games take place there.
- Meanwhile, Cortina “Tina” is a white stoat with a spirit of adventure. She loves nature just as much as her brother, but moved to the city at a young age to explore new opportunities. She’s competitive and artistic, and represents the main 2026 Winter Olympic games.
- “The Flo” is a team of elite small sportsman “snowdrops” who are united in their differences by their love for the outdoors.

The Italian Department of Education took on more than 1,600 entries from elementary school students nationwide to pick the mascots for the 2026 Olympics. Through collaboration with the Milano Cortina 2026 game organizers, the two finalists went to an online poll, and Milo and Tina were officially announced as the winners on Feb. 7, 2024.
The idea for the stoat twins came from the students of the Istituto Comprensivo of Taverna from the region of Calabria.
After the results of the poll, however, the committee decided to partner the two rodents with their competition after all: six snowdrop characters that came from the students of the Istituto Comprensivo Sabin of Segrate in Lombardia.

The Milano Cortina Winter Olympic Games will take place from Feb. 6-22, 2026, and the Winter Paralympic Games at the same location will take place from March 6-15, 2026.
