‘Once Upon A Spring’ bursts with activities at Gaylord Palms Resort

“Once Upon A Spring” kicks off at Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee, featuring larger-than-life Easter eggs, a pop-up bar, a themed escape room, and plenty of Spring-inspired activities.

From March 4 – May 8, the resort will be hopping with all things “spring,” from family-friendly story-time with Mother Goose to a specially-created cocktail for adults-only.

Highlights of “Once Upon A Spring” include:

“Paint Me A Fairytale” – Join Mother Goose as she and her story-time friends act out classic children’s tales such as Princess and the Pea, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Little Red Riding Hood, in this musical interactive stage show in the hotel’s atrium lobby.

Blossomin’ Bunnies Scavenger Hunt sets guests loose around the hotel atrium with a clue book in hand! Those who are successful in solving all of the clues and riddles will receive a special prize.

Easter egg at Once Upon A Spring

Springtime Sweets Cookie Decorating – Play with your food as you decorate cookies during this hands-on activity, and have cameras at the ready when the Easter Bunny makes a special appearance.

Adventure Kids Club – Join Adventure Kid Sophie, Ava the Alligator, and Seth the Sea Turtle as they learn about the Sunshine State’s indigenous wildlife through weekly visits from Wild Florida. Discover how gators, snakes, and other creatures are vital additions to Florida’s ecosystem. Guests can also access a special augmented reality app on their mobile device for more entertaining and educational information, and even take a virtual photo with endangered species from around the world.

Journey Into Spring – Decipher riddles, find hidden keys, and unlock mysteries in this fanciful, family-friendly escape room surrounded by a springtime garden setting.

Eggspression Garden – Walk through the giant Easter egg archway and into a peaceful garden in this self-guided experience filled with larger-than-life Easter eggs, fanciful blooms, and an array of spring-inspired photo opportunities.

Springtime Nights, Springtime Lights – As darkness falls, the atrium’s animated light curtains “spring” to life with blooming flowers, pastel Easter Eggs, and bouncing bunnies during shows that take place several times each night.

The Art Bar – Castillo de San Marcos Fort in the hotel’s atrium offers an intimate setting for this pop-up bar, which features colorful cocktails and mocktails created by Gaylord Palms’ mixologists. A special springtime menu offers libations made with flavorful botanicals and fruit-based ingredients.

20th Anniversary cocktail

In addition to all the atrium activities, Gaylord Palms’ Villa de Flora restaurant will be offering a special Easter buffet on Easter Sunday. It will also host the Easter Bunny on April 17, with meet-and-greets and photos from 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Visiting before Feb. 28? Take advantage of Relâche Spa’s “Be My Valentine” specials, including a 50-minute couples massage or facial, or the 100-minute couple’s escape, with a 75-minute massage and time in the Couple’s Suite, complete with Jacuzzi tub, rainforest showers, and champagne.
