Legoland Windsor Resort has revealed the opening date for the world’s first Duplo rollercoaster in the park’s Duplo Valley.
The ride will officially open to guests on Saturday, March 14, 2020. To celebrate the announcement, Legoland Windsor Resort has revealed a first look at concept art of the land, showing what families can look forward to when they visit.
Duplo Valley will also welcome a new show and play area alongside the new coaster. Brickville, the outdoor play area, will become Duplo Playtown and feature a new rocket play structure. Families will also be able to take to the skies at the new Duplo Valley Airport with three new colored helicopters to choose from.
At the Duplo Puppet Theatre, a new puppet show will be offered throughout the day. “The Frog Prince” will tell the tale of Princess Money-Plenty who loses her Golden Ball in a murky pond, ruled by an Evil Toad, before she’s saved by Legoland’s very own James Pond. This new puppet show will join the lineup alongside “Goldilocks and the Three Bears,” which is retold with a modern Legoland twist.
In the heart of Duplo Valley will reside the world’s first Duplo rollercoaster, the Duplo Dino Coaster, designed for kids ages 2-5. Riders will climb aboard the dinosaur-themed carriage and hold on tight as they race along supersized Duplo dinosaur models — 18 times bigger than if you were to build them at home. The land will also welcome new supersized Duplo models, perfect for fun photo-ops.
