Orange County enacts curfew; Disney Springs and Universal CityWalk adjust hours

Orange County, Fla. has enacted a curfew, and Disney Springs and Universal Orlando CityWalk have adjusted their closing hours because of it.

After some violence and destruction of property erupted in Orange County at various locations during protests, Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings ordered a curfew from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night until further notice, starting tonight.

Although those going to and from work during the curfew hours are exempt, Disney Springs announced they will be closing at 7 p.m. each night until further notice to allow their cast members and guests time to return home before the curfew starts.

A Universal Orlando spokesperson told us they are also closing CityWalk early to respect the curfew. Although CityWalk will officially close at 8 p.m., no new guests will be let into CityWalk after 7 p.m.

No protestors, violence or looting has occurred at Universal Orlando Resort or Walt Disney World.
