PHOTO UPDATE: New Universal Studios Store confirmed for CityWalk Orlando

Theme park fans finally know what will soon emerge from behind the construction walls at Universal CityWalk in Orlando – a brand-new Universal Studios Store!

Thanks to a series of updated construction walls featuring concept art, we now know that the formerly separate retail locations that were previously closed—P!Q, Fresh Produce, and the back half of Quiet Flight Surf Shop—will soon become one giant new flagship location for all things Universal merchandise.

Thanks to the concept art now on display, this “premier retail experience” will sport a sleek, stylized new look highlighted by curved shapes and plenty of windows to let in natural light.

Inside, this new Studios Store will offer all the Universal parks-related merchandise you could want – though this piece of concept art in particular highlights a Minions-themed selection.

We have no set opening date for this new store just yet, though the concept art along the construction walls say “Coming Soon.” Based on the current progress of the structure, it will likely be a little while.

In the meantime, however, the “old” Universal Studios Store is becoming a nostalgic paradise, with items and memorabilia from Universal’s past – including models that you might find familiar. The store is lined with references to attractions and experiences of yesteryear, including Alfred Hitchcock: The Art of Making Movies, Kongfrontation, Back to the Future: The Ride, and more.

Rumored Universal Superstore At Universal CityWalk Construction Update
Our previous construction update from November 2020, in which we discuss the rumors of what this space could eventually become.

While we don’t know what, if anything, will take the former Studios Store’s place once the shiny, new version has opened, there have been rumors of some kind of Nintendo presence at CityWalk ahead of Super Nintendo World opening at Universal’s Epic Universe (which has since been put on hold).

As a bonus, here’s a look at a new sign for the Jurassic World VelociCoaster, opening at Islands of Adventure this summer!
