Photos/Videos: Zombie Captain America debuts at Disney California Adventure

The Oogie Boogie Bash Halloween Party has continually brought new and exciting characters to Disney California Adventure park. First we saw Agatha from “WandaVision,” as well as Cruella from 2021’s live action “Cruella” film and Sid from the original Disney Pixar “Toy Story” film. Now, from Marvel’s “What If…?” show on Disney+, Zombie Captain America has debuted in the Avengers Campus area of Disney California Adventure.

Last night was Zombie Cap’s debut, and fans were eager to see his grueling, half-dead self. Disney has usually steered clear of very scary things happening at their Halloween events. The Halloween party in Florida in previous years was actually called Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. This new character style, which has an inherently scary theme, is somewhat new to Disney meet and greets. But putting a little bit of fear or intimidation in a meet and greet setting isn’t entirely new to Disney Parks.

Guests have been able to meet Darth Vader, Kylo Ren, Jafar, Dr. Facilier, and more. These meet and greets are, by design, supposed to intimidate or even put a little fear in the guests. Zombie Cap has joined this group.

Fans of Marvel’s “What If…?” show know the zombies didn’t hold back on the remaining Avengers. Zombie Captain America has stormed the Avengers Campus, and looks to be a continual character for the remainder of the Oogie Boogie Bash event.

@mama.mouse.of.two on Instagram got this close-up encounter. Head to their third photo to see Zombie Cap head back into his set location, waiting to pounce again another time.

Will you be heading to an Oogie Boogie Bash party to catch a look at Zombie Captain America or any of the other unique characters? @disney.parkhopper got this look at Zombie Cap’s walk-out (or zombie shuffle out?). What kind of photos or interaction would you like to have with this famous undead hero?

  1. You know…if you have seen Venom: Let There Be Carnage…and with the debut of a scary Marvel character at the parks…maybe just MAYBE, Disney could ask Sony to allow them to have _____ as a character photo op for future Oogie Boogie Bash events? 😁
