This will be the franchise’s first Orlando-area restaurant, joining its other Florida locations in Tampa and Brandon. The restaurant will be located at The Village at O-Town West, on the corner of Palm Parkway and Daryl Carter Boulevard at the front of the 80,000-square-feet retail destination.

“Our company strives to partner with tenants that can help showcase the area as a world-class destination for visitors,” said Chuck Whittall, president of Unicorp National Developments, who are developing The Village at O-Town West. “Portillo’s will be a great addition to our stellar dining options here in Lake Buena Vista.”

At the restaurant, guests will be able to enjoy classic menu items like Chicago-style hot dogs, famous Italian beef, char-grilled burgers, salads, and Portillo’s famous chocolate cake. There will also be an outdoor patio, draft beer, a double drive-thru, and a large parking lot for guests. The 7,800-square-foot Lake Buena Vista location will feature the brand’s new diner style in design, packed with nostalgic décor, diner booths, and local memorabilia.

“Portillo’s is excited to expand our Florida footprint to the Orlando-arae. Our forthcoming location at Village at O-Town West will put us directly in front of the country’s most popular tourist destinations, while also serving the large number of Midwest expats in the area,” said Michael Osanloo, CEO of Portillo’s.

Fans can sign up online for a chance to attend a preview meal and be served Chicago-style dishes from the brand’s food truck in Orlando prior to the restaurant’s opening. There’s no word yet on a set date for the opening.
