Princess Cruises rolls out MedallionNet Max enhanced Wi-Fi service
Princess Cruises Wi-Fi will be enhanced for guests of select vacation packages through MedallionNet Max via Starlink.
Introducing MedallionNet Max
Over Labor Day weekend, Princess Cruises unveiled MedallionNet Max enhanced Wi-Fi service across its fleet. MedallionNet Max relies primarily on Starlink satellites to provide high-speed internet on the water, allowing cruisers to stay connected at sea.

How much does the new Princess Cruises Wi-Fi cost? MedallionNet Max is bundled with Princess Plus and Princess Premier packages that start at $60 per guest per day and also include beverages, specialty dining, desserts, complimentary room service, fitness classes, photos, gratuities, and more in addition to the network service.
Other Princess Cruises Wi-Fi options
Passengers who do not want to add the Princess Plus or Princess Premier packages can opt for MedallionNet Classic. The MedallionNet Classic level offers the same network service Princess guests have had since 2018. Add-on pricing for MedallionNet Classic is currently $24.99 a day for a single device and $44.99 per day for multiple devices.
Therefore, Princess now offers two levels of WiFi service: MedallionNet Classic and MedallionNet Max. (with Max allowing prioritized access to the highest quality and performance bandwidth available, typically Starlink).
Epic Voyages with Princess Cruises
Princess Cruises hopes to attract passengers with MedallionNet Max embarking on longer cruises and looking to stay connected to work, business, and the world. The enhanced level of service is featured on all Princess Cruises, but becomes even more valuable when sailing on the four tiers of Princess’ Epic Voyages including World Cruises, Journeys Far & Away, Immersive Itineraries, and Ocean Crossings.
Princess Cruises created the four categories of Epic Voyages to point travelers to unique itineraries across various destinations.
World Cruises are offered on three ships — Crown Princess, Coral Princess, and Island Princess — and sail through the Panama Canal, Hawaii & the South Pacific, the Mediterranean, Australia, Southeast Asia, and Africa. The itinerary can last as long as 116 days, or be broken into shorter segments.
Journeys Far & Away was designed for outdoor enthusiasts, wildlife lovers, adventurers, and naturalists. With itineraries ranging in length from 11 to 33 days, sailing on seven ships — Coral Princess, Discovery Princess, Emerald Princess, Grand Princess, Island Princess, Majestic Princess, and Sapphire Princess — the Journeys Far & Away cruises sail to Southeast Asia, South America and Antarctica, South Pacific & Hawaii, Greenland, and Canada.
Immersive Itineraries are designed for an in-depth exploration of a single region’s culture and history. For example, the cruise line’s newest Sphere-Class ships — Sun Princess and Star Princess — both offer Immersive Itineraries through the Mediterranean. These cruises last from 17 to 31 days, and are offered on 11 ships total.
Ocean Crossings harken back to the golden age of travel with Trans-Atlantic and Trans-Pacific sailings. The new Star Princess, debuting in fall 2025, sails in October on an Iberian Passage crossing from Southampton, U.K. to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
