Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor unveils new maze, ‘Rogue’

The Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor is releasing a storm of fear unlike any other with their just-announced maze, “Rogue.”

This new maze will lead guests through a frightening voyage that nearly changed history. As the story goes, while transporting American troops during World War II, the RMS Queen Mary became known as the Grey Ghost. In December, as it was traveling from New York to Scotland, the ocean liner was broadsided by what would later be classified as a “rogue wave.”

Dark Harbor guests will become fully immersed in the panic and chaos of this event as they’re surrounded by deafening water effects, total darkness, floor to ceiling seafoam, and even experience the feeling of being capsized.

In addition to this all-new maze, it was also announced at this year’s Midsummer Scream convention that for the first time ever, Dark Harbor guests will have access to the never-before-seen depths of the Queen Mary. In one of this year’s re-imagined mazes, attendees will walk through the infamous Door 13. Called one of the most haunted areas on the ship, legends tell of an 18-year-old crewman that was crushed to death by the door in 1967. Guests will also get to venture 6-fathoms below sea level as they explore the Boiler Room to experience the event’s newest secret bar.

This year will also feature returning mazes Feast, B340, and Lullaby. Circus and Intrepid will feature new immersions and more scares for the new season. In total, the event will offer six mazes, 13 bars, fire shows, aerialists, sliders, Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch Sinister Swings, Panic! 4-D Experience, zombie DJs, Barrel Room Tastings, R.I.P. Lounge, and more.

The annual haunt begins its 2019 season on Sept. 26 and will run through Nov. 2. General admission tickets start at $20 online, and Fast Fright, Evil Express, R.I.P. Lounge Passes, Creepy Cabanas and lodging packages are available.
