Raglan Road Great Irish Hooley returns for its 11th year

A “Hooley” is a lively party for the whole family, and the Raglan Road Great Irish Hooley is exactly that, with performances by top Irish bands, energetic Irish dancing, and traditional Irish dishes.

“At Raglan Road, our Hooley is about finding an excuse to party!” says general manager Rachael Conroy. “And there’s no better time to celebrate than Labor Day weekend, where we can soak up the last vibes of summer during a festival of unique Irish music, dance, and food.”

Raglan Road Great Irish Hooley Performers

Live musical performances will feature traditional Irish jigs and ballads, Celt grass, folk mainstays, soulful blues, and, of course, the award-winning Raglan Road Irish Dancers.

• Sina Theil – Multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and winner of several Irish music awards, including “Rising Star of 2022” at the American Celtic Listener Supported Music Awards
• Oliver Havlin – Traveling from County Down, Ireland, Havlin rocks tunes on guitar, fiddle, and vocals
• The Connemara Ramblers – Sam Carey and Orla Leavy delight audiences with their fresh Irish sound
• One for the Foxes – A new transatlantic trio merging backgrounds in Irish and American folk music
• Strings & Things –  Irish folk/trad four-piece group performing a variety of crossover tunes
• The Byrne Brothers – Father-and-sons quartet who tell stories through music, singing, and Irish dancing

Irish Bites and Sips

Raglan Road will debut its new “Stars & Hearts” Keeper’s Heart Whiskey flight, an Irish-American collaboration aged in stout barrels, along with new Hooley cocktails, including “Heart of the Hooley” made with Keeper’s Heart Irish Bourbon and blackberry and mint shrub.

In addition to Irish favorites like Fish & Chips and Shepherd’s Pie, new dishes slated for the Raglan Road Great Irish Hooley are the Guinness & Onion Soup and a new Seaboard Sharing board for two, both of which will remain on the menu after the event.

The Raglan Road Great Irish Hooley begins Friday afternoon, Sept. 1, 2023, and continues through late night Monday, Sept. 4, 2023. Extended Hooley hours are 11 a.m.-12 a.m. on Sept. 1, 2023; 10 a.m.-12 a.m. on Sept. 2, 2023; 10 a.m.-12 a.m. on Sept. 3, 2023; and 11 a.m.-11:30 p.m. on Sept. 4, 2023.

In addition to the pub’s all-day menu, the Rollicking Raglan Brunch will be served throughout the weekend and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday. There’s no cover charge to join the fun, but reservations are recommended. For more information, visit raglanroad.com.
