Recipe: Make Isla Nu-Bar’s tiki drinks at home
If you’re missing Universal Studios Hollywood and looking for a tasty way to beat the summer heat, try recreating these drinks from Isla Nu-Bar at home!

Tiki Tai
Ingredients
- 1.0 ounces of White Rum
- 0.5 ounces of Pineapple Rum
- 1.0 ounces of Pineapple Juice
- 0.5 ounces of Lime juice
- 0.5 ounces of Passion Fruit Purée
- 0.5 ounces of Orgeat Syrup
- 1.0 ounces of Dark Rum
Instructions
- Mix everything except the Dark Rum in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously for five seconds.
- Pour the shaker into your favorite tiki glass and top with additional ice as needed.
- Float the Dark rum on top and Enjoy!
- For a little extra flair, you can garnish it with a pineapple leaf just like they do at Isla Nu-Bar.
Bird of Paradise
Ingredients
- 1.5 ounces of Passionfruit Rum
- 0.5 ounces of Silver Rum
- 0.5 ounces of Passionfruit Purée
- 1.0 ounces of Guava Purée
- 0.5 ounces of Lime Juice
- 0.5 ounces of Orgeat Syrup
- 2 dashes of Angostura Bitters
- 1.0 ounces of Spiced Rum
Instructions
- Similar to the Tiki Tai, you’re going to mix everything except the Spiced Rum in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously for five seconds.
- Pour the shaker into your favorite tiki glass and top with additional ice as needed.
- Float the Spiced Rum on top and enjoy!
Mai Tai (Non-Alcoholic)
Ingredients
- 2.75 ounces of Pineapple Juice
- 1.25 ounces of Orange Juice
- 0.25 ounces of Grenadine
- 0.75 ounces of Lime Juice
- 0.75 ounces of Orgeat Syrup
Instructions
- Mix everything in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously for five seconds.
- Pour the shaker into your favorite tiki glass and top with additional ice as needed.
If you don’t have the specific ingredients listed for these drinks, substitutions are encouraged!
