Revenge of the Mummy has hit a major milestone! Earlier today, Universal Orlando announced that the ride has claimed the souls of 100 million riders.
Revenge of the Mummy first made its debut in 2004, and continues to be a popular roller coaster among fans. Inspired by the blockbuster “Mummy” films starring Brendan Fraser, riders will be launched forward and backward into the depths of the tomb as they evade scarab beetles, fiery explosions, an army of mummies and more as they flee the wrath of the evil Imhotep.
This news comes just about a month before the ride will go down for maintenance, starting Jan. 7, 2022. The ride will remain closed through late summer.
